Not very effective because to use these, you either have to be extremely quick(Jet Li) or indestructible(Superman) to use these, for you have to risk close combat, getting bit, and injuring yourself with the same glass you are trying to hurt the zombie with

[edit] Kitchen Knives

Only to be used in EXTREMELY CLOSE QUARTERS. They can hurt you, and if not used properly, they can make zombies even scarier(how would you like to see a zombie coming at you with blades coming out of it?). On the bright side, if they are sharp enough, they can easily cut a zombies head clean off.

[edit] Ropes and Chains

Useful if used correctly, a rope or a chain can slow a zombie or group of zombies dramaticaly. Say you are held up in a bedroom. if you take a rope and tie it to either sides of the doorway at knee height, approaching zombies will trip and fall, giving you time to, say, smash their heads with a solid oak baseball bat or stab them with a knife.

Chains can be spun overhead and sent flying at a zombies legs to trip them up and then finish them off

[edit] How to make simple but effective weapons

[edit] Melee Weaponry(wood)

  1. Get a stick with a thick bend or knot
  2. Take a knife and shave off enough bark to make a handle
  3. Store for 2 days in a warm, dry, shaded area to avoid cracking
  4. Hold weapon firmly
  5. Swing at zombies and enjoy

OR


  1. Get a straight stick
  2. Carve on one end with a knife
  3. continue until point forms
  4. Store for 1 day anywhere dry
  5. Stab zombies(preferrably in the head)


[edit] Molotov Cocktail

  1. pour gasoline or oil into a bottle
  2. Stuff rag tightly into opening in bottle
  3. CAREFULLY light and throw at zombies(away from shelter)


[edit] Homeade shotgun=

quite easy to mkae just get 2 pieces of pipe that are the size of the shotgun shells that you want to use. cap one end of each of the pipes off and drill a holle big enough for the end of a nail to go through. to make the firing pins you need to tape a few nails together so taht you can fire it as a trigger. make a wood stock or modify the pipe to make it into a stock.

[edit] Zombie Attractant(for luring them away)

  1. Place CD player, while playing, away from your shelter
  2. Take meat, prefferably rotten to CD player and place
  3. run and wait for them to leave your shelter
