The Virgin Islands of the United States (commonly called the United States Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands,American Virgin Islands, or USVI) are a group of islands in the Caribbean that are an insular area of the United States. The islands are geographically part of the Virgin Islands archipelago and are located in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.
The USVI consists of the three main islands of St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix, along with Water Island and surrounding isles. The capital is Charlotte Amalie located on the island of St. Thomas. The islands main source of income is tourism, usually coming from Caribbean Cruise Liners.
During a zombie apocalypse, the USVI would be flooded by refugees coming from infected countries, likely bringing in with them the infection. Additionally, zombies from other islands may wash up here.

St. Thomas Island. The most recent recorded attack to have taken place right before the war.
In 2002, a single waterlogged zombie, possibly the ones dumped off the coast of Morocco the previous year, walked up on a beach in St. Thomas. The locals called the police to detain the strange man. The zombie did not follow the instructions of the authorities. A boy unknowingly poked the zombie with a stick, and as a result, was grabbed and almost bitten. The boy was saved by a civilian who grabbed a police officer's sidearm and shot the zombie in the head. This is one of the few cases of zombies walking long distances underwater.
World War Z[]
During World War Z, the fate of the Virgin Islands were not mentioned. However, because it is nearby to some overrun nations in the Caribbean, as well as it being a famous cruise ship destination and the influx of refugees fleeing to the oceans and far away islands, it can be assumed that the Virgin Islands has been overrun.
