Voodoo Zombies[]
Zombies found in Afro-Caribbean folklore are people who have died and been reanimated by a sorcerer to do their bidding. Voodoo zombies are not typically aggressive unless commanded to attack, but they are known to consume the flesh of unburied human corpses.
In Haitian Voudou and Neww Orleans Voodoo the sorcerer is called a Houngan, in Santeria a Babalowo, and Papa Boko in Palo Mayombe.
